Why do this

I keep being astonished at all of the various "things" that keep happening to us and somehow we keep going - for a long time now Maria and I have joked (somewhat seriously) about writing a book about our experiences as a mother daughter team and I don't want to forget any of this.  Seeing as I spend a good portion of my waking day in front of a computer I though this would be a good method to get started.  The other reason to start writing things down now is because of the unbelievable hoops that Maria is currently jumping through as a result of her DWAI conviction last year.  It has been quite overwhelming to her and to us - it has been very, very expensive and even more punitive.
